On May 25, Shaw High School celebrated its Spring commencement exercises with the Class of 2023. The school then held another ceremony Aug. 14 for its Summer graduates. The May ceremony was held at Shaw Stadium and the August ceremony was held at Shaw Auditorium.

We are all so proud of these graduating seniors, as these are the students whose high school experiences were marked by the countless challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. To the class of 2023, we say, “Congratulations!” and we wish you well in all of your future endeavors--from college to career and beyond. Health and happiness be with all of you. Remember that you will always be part of the Cardinal Nation and that you are East Cleveland--you are the definition of success!
